Positions

At Canta Canta, every position plays a part in bringing joy and creativity to children through our interactive art books. Whether you’re passionate about recruitment, event planning, finance, or design, there’s a role for you!

Co-President

  • Lead GBMs – plan dates, create slideshows, present

  • Be present at all tabling events

  • Outreach to clinics and within Vanderbilt (internal and external outreach)

  • Set up meetings for executive members weekly

  • Oversee the creation of the book and connection to the printing company

  • Create tri-fold

  • Create Canta Canta Google Calendar and update it with all dates and locations (can be shared with members of the club and executive board members)

  • Create a list of tasks weekly and delegate

Director of Recruitment

  • Manage openings for positions

  • Schedule and lead interviews (come up with questions and record answers) 

  • Send emails with acceptances or rejections

  • Create a new members’ packet with all of our information and add new members to socials 

  • Tabling outside of Rand

Secretary

  • Write summaries for each meeting

  • Send out weekly emails to exec members with updates from the meetings

  • Send out biweekly emails to club members with dates and exciting plans

  • Manage Google Calendar

Director of Marketing

  • Design flyers for GBMs and upcoming events

  • Hang up flyers around campus and distribute them in front of Rand

  • Sending emails to professors and HPAO with information about upcoming events and meetings to advertise

  • Form partnerships with other organizations on campus

  • Tabling outside of Rand

Director of Social Media

  • Manage Instagram and GroupMe

  • Post consistently about upcoming events with photos and infographics 

  • Keep Group Me up to date by sending out reminders and dates

  • Be the photographer: take pictures at GBMs, volunteering, tabling, etc. to post on social media

Director of Fundraising

  • Keep track of all of our spending

  • Oversee fundraising efforts and organize donations

  • Manage grants

  • Form partnerships with other nonprofits in Nashville

Director of Art

  • Help create the final version of the book 

  • Collect art pieces

  • Finalize edits on Pro-Create and ensure formatting is corrected for printing
